Pieter Van Eenoge was born in Bruges, Belgium, but spent most of his childhood in Cologne, Germany. He graduated from the Sint-Lucas School for Arts and Science in Ghent, Belgium, with a degree in Illustration. He currently resides in Bruges with his wife, two sons and two cats.
Pieter has illustrated for numerous clients in Belgium and the UK, including The Guardian, British supermarket chain, Waitrose, the Flemish Public Library, and Europe's largest book fair, Boekenbeurs 2011. His work has appeared in The Big Book of Illustration Ideas 2 (Duncan Baird Publishers), Fresh 3: Cutting Edge Illustration (Daab Media) and 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide (Lurzer GmbH). He recently received a Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators 55 for a piece he did for the Bokrijk Open Air Museum. Other honors include a Gold Medal from the 3x3 Pro Show, an Award of Excellence from Communication Arts and the 2012 Boekenpluim Prize, an annual prize awarded to books featuring exceptional illustrations.
