Indian, Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese and the occasional burrito. What about a drink with that? There's nothing like a Guinness! Best movies ever? The first book that inspired me to seek out a career in children's books, "Small in the Saddle" by Mark Alan Stamaty. Where have your travels taken you? Nearly every state in the U.S. (including Alaska), Canada, Mexico, China, Taiwan, HK, Thailand and most recently Japan. I hate to ask, but what about color? I tend to prefer muted autumnal hues over bright cheery colors. Sorry about the color question, let me buy you flowers! Whole-wheat, not bleached. Do you have time for hobbies? Besides filling out questionnaires, I enjoy riding a bicycle and breeding my prize-winning guppies (unfortunately, not at the same time). Collect anything interesting? Anything Doraemon-related, vintage children's books, international bottle caps and hobo's teeth. What did you do in a past life? Dishwasher, stock clerk, gutting fish (in Alaska), janitor, graphic designer and 2 week temp-governor of Delaware (while Thomas Carper went missing). Who or what are you inspired by? Nearly everyone who's better than me at nearly everything. Do you have a favorite artist? Roy McKie, Ed Emberley, Ronald Searle, M. Sasek, Ezra Jack Keats, Walt Kelly, Mark Alan Stamaty, Charles Addams, Taro Gomi, Richard Scarry, J.P. Miller and too many more to mention.
