I don't know if I have a favorite book. I've recently read Down To This by Shaughnessy Bishop-Stall, which is his autobiographical account of living for a year in a homeless shantytown in Toronto. It's absorbing to say the least. Before that was A Most Damnable Invention: Dynamite, Nitrates and the Making of the Modern World, which amongst other things informed me that in the 19th century petrified bird poop and the nitrate-rich bi-products of animal waste were such valuable commodities that empires fought massive wars over them because they provided the key ingredient for both gunpowder to fight and fertilizer to feed.

Travel

I really need to travel more.

Whatever Gord Wiebe is into. He's the Rainman of colours.

Gord Wiebe. He actually changes smell depending on his mood. Amazing!

I collect my nails into piles sometimes.

Past Job

I worked in a car factory amongst giant welding robots that shot sparks everywhere and I also planted trees that were small and didn't shoot any sparks anywhere.
