Sauvage Re-Defines the Line
Marguerite Sauvage joins nine international artists for Redefining the Line: Art Nouveau and the Female Figure at California State University, Fullerton. This exhibition, which showcases graphic design, illustration and installation work, investigates the influence of Art Nouveau on contemporary artists who successfully merge the fine art and commercial art worlds by applying fine art techniques to commercial avenues, such as fashion, music and popular culture. The show was curated by Alexandra Duron and Sarah Strozza and also includes the work of Pomme Chan, Deanne Cheuk, Naja Conrad-Hansen, Aya Kato, Pandarosa, Alberto Seveso, Sonya Suhariyan, Yoshi Tajima and Eveline Tarunadjaja. The show runs from Saturday, August 29th to Friday, October 2nd, 2009.
