Ben Shannon illustrated for Old Spice Presents: The Secret To The Perfect Pickup Line, his second game for Xbox Live. In the game, users attempt to meet and impress girls from around the world using the ‘power of Old Spice.’
Koharu Rose Watanabe-Shannon (Coco for short) arrived on Saturday, January 10th, 2009 at 4:28pm to proud first-time parents Ben Shannon and Sachi Watanabe. She weighed 7 pounds and 4 ounces. Congratulations go out to Ben and Sachi!
Congratulations to Graham Roumieu and Ben Shannon who were recognized at this year’s Advertising + Design Club of Canada Awards. Graham Roumieu won a Silver medal for illustration in the Editorial category for his work with The Walrus, as well as a merit award in the Miscellaneous Graphic Design category for his work with Soapbox Design on NUAR’s Call for Entries. Ben Shannon’s work for the Axe Skin Contact Wrestling campaign with Dashboard also received a merit award in the Miscellaneous Interactive Design category. Ben Shannon, Axe Skin Contact Wrestling
Ben Shannon is exhibiting in Ode to Edo: Legacy of the Samurai, a group show that will feature a collection of 14 Samurai armor sets and paintings by 21 contemporary artists. Thirty limited edition silkscreen prints of the poster illustrated by Kagan McLeod will be available for sale, as well as a set of small “jam” drawings created by the artists. The show is being presented by Jerome Jenner Gallery and will take place at SMASH in Toronto. Some of the other artists participating in the show include Amro Attia, Hiroshi Hirakawa, Kurt Ketchum, Charlotte Greenwood and Yukiko Utso, among others. The show runs from Thursday, June 19th until Monday, June 30th, 2008.
