Estrada for Blue Q

Catalina Estrada’s Moon Garden shoulder tote and Night Bird water bottle are now available from Blue Q, the designers and manufacturers of decorative objects, eclectic bath products, miniature books and other artful curiosities. The bag is made of 95% recycled woven polypropylene, measures 15″ x 11″ and features a roomy exterior pocket and shoulder length straps. The 20oz/600ml stainless steel water bottle is decorated with lead-free inks and is BPA free.

Catalina Estrada illustrated for Brazilian author Paulo Coelho’s Inspirations 2010 diary. The agenda is a follow-up to 2009’s Joy diary and features a unique illustration for each month alongside quotes taken from the author’s best-loved titles, insights drawn from articles and previously unpublished works. Inspirations is published by Barcelona-based literary agency, Sant Jordi Asociados, and is available in 19 countries.

Catalina Estrada illustrated for funky Danish childrenswear company MOLO Kids’ Spring/Summer 2010 collection. The textile illustrations combine Catalina’s whimsical artwork with the photography of her husband, Pancho Tolchinsky, which is a perfect fit for the unique and unpredictable designs that MOLO is known for. This is the sixth time that Catalina has collaborated with the Brazilian fashion label and this time the line has expanded to include lingerie and shoes. As usual, the website also features animated elements from Catalina’s illustrations.

Estrada + Anunciacao, Patterns in Fashion

Catalina Estrada’s collaboration with Brazilian fashion brand Anunciacao is featured in Patterns & Applications in Fashion (Evergreen) by Macarena San Mart-N and Angelika Taschen. The book is organized by color and features pattern designers from around the world and their applications, including shirts, skirts, shoes, jackets, trousers and a wide range of accessories. It is available in Spanish and English and comes with a CD.

Catalina Estrada illustrated for Bossa Nova’s superfruit juice. Superfruits are berries and fruits singled out for their remarkably high concentration of nutrients and antioxidants, usually with very low naturally occurring sugars. Bossa Nova’s superfruits are acai, acerola, mangosteen and goji berry, available in a variety of flavor combinations.

Estrada’s Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Catalina Estrada illustrated for The 5th Avenue Theatre’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. American Idol finalist Anthony Fedorov stars as Joseph in this hilarious tale of three brothers, jealousy and one very loud garment. This worldwide phenomenon has been an audience favorite for more than thirty-five year, spanning musical styles from calypso to rock to disco to country. It opens on Saturday, October 10th and runs until Sunday, November 1st, 2009.
