Graham Roumieu designed this handy tote for Good Egg, a quirky kitchen supply store located in Toronto’s legendary Kensington Market. With a product line that is both unusual and unpredictable, Good Egg strives for integrity in design, function and durability. In addition to a carefully-selected library of cookbooks, Good Egg also offers classes, demos and workshops that specialize in knife skills, canning, fermentation and home butchering.

Graham Roumieu illustrated a three-part guide to corporate responsibility for Corporate Knights magazine. Corporate Knights promotes clean capitalism and seeks to humanize the marketplace. Graham’s witty illustrations ran in their 35th issue, as part of their 2011 Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada feature.

RamsayInc.com launched yesterday and features work by Graham Roumieu. The site is the online portfolio of speechwriter, book editor, and communications strategist Bob Ramsay. Graham illustrated the graphic elements found throughout the site, including the Pan figure seen below.

Graham Roumieu and Emiliano Ponzi each had their work selected to appear in the American Illustration 30 annual. From more than 7,000 pieces submitted by over 1,100 entrants, the jury selected just 316 images to appear in the book and represent the best illustrations from 2010. The annual will be printed in full-color and distributed worldwide in hardcover immediately after The Party on November 10th, 2011 – the annual book launch event that brings the creative community together to celebrate the winners.

Graham Roumieu’s newly designed website, www.roumieu.com, was named one of HOW magazine’s Top 10 Sites for Designers. Way to go!

Graham Roumieu illustrated for Hewlett-Packard’s Ink Amnesty campaign. His comical illustrations warn of the dangers of using third-party ink cartridges in HP printers. This illustration can be seen on HP’s Facebook page and is the first in a series of four being released over the next few weeks.

Society of Illustrators is the premier showcase for illustrators and animators, featuring over 400 pieces of the most outstanding works created throughout the year. Open to artists worldwide, thousands of entries were considered by a a jury of professionals, which include renowned illustrators, art directors and designers.

Graham Roumieu was invited be a judge at the Society of Illustrators 53rd Annual Exhibition in New York City. The goal of the 53rd annual is to recognize the highest standard of illustration and to excite and inspire excellence in future work. He is honored to be judging the Sequential/Series category alongside some of the most talented and distinguished illustrators and art directors in America.

Graham Roumieu recently partnered with branding and design agency, Viva & Co, and North America’s premiere supplier of high-quality paper, Domtar Distribution Group, for a campaign promoting their HannoArt papers, while also supporting childhood literacy. For the campaign, Graham and fellow illustrators, Chris Silas Neal and Edel Rodriguez, were each asked to illustrate a poster responding to phrases about the importance of words, their meaning and reading in general.

The limited-edition posters, printed on HannoArt paper, are available through Viva & Co’s sister company, whigby.com. All revenue collected from the sale of the posters will be donated to Raising Readers, a Canadian non-profit childhood literacy group. Through their programs in Ontario’s public schools and libraries, Raising Readers’ mission is to provide enthusiasm, knowledge and the right environment to stimulate and sustain a young child’s interest in becoming a reader for life.

Regular readers of Angie’s List have been treated to Red Nose Studio’s monthly covers while frequent flyers have probably come across Graham Roumieu’s humorous illustrations in the monthly Dispatches column in Hemispheres, the in-flight magazine for United Airlines.
