Ponzi, Red Nose & Williams Recognized by Society of Illustrators 50
Monday, December 10th, 2007Emiliano Ponzi, Red Nose Studio and Nate Williams have all been recognized by the Society of Illustrators 50. Emiliano had four pieces selected, while Red Nose Studio and Nate each had five, with Nate winning a Silver medal for his silkscreen piece that originally appeared in Zeke Bazaar 2, a large silkscreen book by Elzo Durt. The winning pieces will be shown at the Museum of American Illustration at the Society of Illustrators in New York from January 30th to April 26th, 2008 and be published in Illustrators 50: America’s Original Annual of Illustration. Congratulations guys!

Williams at MALBA
Friday, November 30th, 2007Nate Williams’ silkscreen was chosen to be part of a six artist series curated by Tristan Rault. The pieces will be sold at MALBA (Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires) in Argentina. Other artists participating include Christian Montenegro, Doma, Hernan Paganini and Juan De La Cruz.

Williams wins Society of Illustrators Silver Medal
Friday, November 23rd, 2007Nate Williams received a Silver Medal in the Society of Illustrators 50th Annual Exhibition’s Book category. The piece was done for Zeke Bazaar #2, a large silkscreen book published by Elzo Durt.
Each year, the Society of Illustrators recognizes the top achievements within the field of illustration. These encompass all genres, every medium and every ranges of practitioner, from students all the way up to lifetime members.

Williams Speaker at International Design Meeting
Saturday, October 20th, 2007Nate Williams has been invited to speak this week at TRIMARCHIDG an international graphic design meeting at the Estadio Polideportivo in the beautiful seaside city of Mar del Plata, Argentina which runs October 19 - 21, 2007. He will also be teaching a workshop titled ‘Creativity and Structure Go to Marriage Counseling’. The round table workshop will explore the relationship between creativity and structure.

Magnet Reps Artists in 3 X 3 Professional Show
Thursday, September 27th, 2007Emiliano Ponzi, Red Nose Studio, Gordon Wiebe, Charles Wilkin and Nate Williams were all selected for 3×3 Magazine’s Professional Show. Most of the artists got at least two pieces in and they won in either the advertising, editorial, institutional, book, gallery or unpublished categories. All the artists will be published in the 3×3 Illustration Annual No. 4 due out in early 2008.

Nate Williams Type Directors Club Award 2007
Sunday, September 23rd, 2007Nate Williams was awarded a coveted Type Directors Club 2007 award in the hand lettering category for his work on the All Together Now Beatles CD compilation for kids by Little Monster Records. The CD is covered front and back with Nate’s wildly creative hand lettering and of course his illustration too. Look out for a new CD in the series from Little Monster Records who have recently gone independent, good for them!
