Four Magnet artists Raquel Aparicio, Eleanor Grosch, Emiliano Ponzi, and Catell Ronca created illustrations for the Italian charitable organization Arcobaleno. The organization benefits families and individuals who are struggling to find employment. Raquel, Eleanor, Emiliano, and Catell joined 8 other artists to create a calendar that illustrates the struggles of the people Arcobaleno seeks to help.

Aparicio for Dulux Colours of Heritage

Raquel Aparicio illustrated for the Dulux Colours of Heritage billboard project in exotic Penang, Malaysia. The campaign promotes the paint brand’s new line of eco-friendly paints with each illustration promoting one of the paints’ many benefits while also celebrating the island of Penang, which was recently listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for it’s unique architectural and cultural landscape.

The Delux Colours of Heritage billboard showcases the range and features of the Dulux eco-friendly paint color while celebrating the world-famous Penang Botanical Gardens. The huge billboard was erected on the outside of a mall while the surrounding buildings were being restored.

The depiction of Penang Island, which is also referred to as the Pearl of the Orient, promotes the washability of Dulux paint. Also in the series is Raquel’s illustration of Kek Lok Si Temple (or the Temple of Supreme Bliss), which uses the image of the tortoise to define the paint’s long-lasting color. For the Chinese, the tortoise symbolizes longevity, power and tenacity.
