Bagayan Gets the Lead Out

Ana Bagayan is exhibiting a piece in Get the Lead Out at Ronin Gallery in Los Angeles, CA. The show, which is being presented by swoongallery.com, features the work of more than 40 artists with a percentage of all proceeds going towards the purchase of blankets for The Lunch Bunch. The Lunch Bunch is a Los Angeles-based charity started by Ana and a friend that delivers homemade meals and other necessities to the city’s homeless.

Bagayan, JEST in Time

Ana Bagayan is exhibiting a drawing in JEST in Time: The Phylogenesis of Clowns at Distinction Gallery in Escondido, CA. For the show, 36 international artists were invited to submit their own clown-inspired pieces, with no piece measuring more than 12 x 12 inches. The opening reception includes a silent auction with all proceeds benefiting ArtHatch, an organization that provides young artists with a unique environment in which to create, exhibit and blossom, as more and more schools lose funding for art programs. The show runs until Saturday, September 4th, 2010.

Bagayan, Love Conquers All

Ana Bagayan is exhibiting a piece in Love Conquers All: Art for Equality at Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City, CA. The group exhibition features the work of 50 international artists with 20 percent of all proceeds going to benefit Equality California, an organization that works to achieve equality and secure legal protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people. The show runs until Saturday, August 28th, 2010.

Seeing Red (Nose) at Manifest in Cincinnati

Red Nose Studio will be exhibiting his work in Seeing Red (Nose) at Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati, OH. The exhibit presents a full spectrum look at Chris’ intense and highly unique illustrative process with original sketchbooks, hand-crafted sculptural models, finished photographic illustrations and stop-motion animations on display. It has been five years since this many pieces have been available in one place so if you’re in the Cincinnati area, check it out. Red Nose classics like Fork Boy and The Red Thread Project will be on display, as well as never-before-seen test scenes of Scout and the new silent short Bandit Blood. It runs until Friday, August 6th, 2010.

Red Nose + Ponzi for SILA @ ICON

Red Nose Studio and Emiliano Ponzi will be showing their award-winning art in the Illustration West 48 exhibition at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, CA. The show coincides with ICON6 but you don’t have to be an ICON attendee to attend. It runs from Tuesday, July 13th to Saturday, July 17th in the Wentworth Room.

Haworth’s Nerve Centre of the Empire

Hennie Haworth is participating in Nerve Centre of the Empire, a new exhibition recently opened at the Porthcurno Telegraph Museum, near Lands End in Cornwall. Formally the largest cable station in the world, the exhibition at Porthcurno shows what massive impact on society and technology this remote corner of south-west England had.

The exhibition was designed by Neil Tinson Studio.

Bagayan for Pop Surrealism, Italy

Ana Bagayan will be exhibiting artwork in Pop Surrealism, a group art show part of the 2010 Spoleto Festival in Spoleto, Italy. The show was curated by Gianluca Marziani and Alexandra Mazzanti and focuses exclusively on the Pop Surrealism movement. It runs from June 26th to October 15th, 2010 at Piazza Collicola. Other artists in the show include Mark Ryden, Shepard Fairey, Tara McPherson, Gary Baseman, Lola, Ron English, Naoto Hattori, James Jean and Tim Biskup, among others.

Sauvage for Enchanté

Marguerite Sauvage is exhibiting work in Enchanté at Nucleus Gallery in Alhambra, CA. Each of the artists participating in the show hails from France but despite their shared national roots, each has an aesthetic that is uniquely their own. With pieces that explore a range of subject matter, Enchanté celebrates France’s extraordinary diversity and creativity as told by some of the country’s freshest creative voices.

Other artists participating in the show include Adolie Day, Véronique Joffre and Véronique Meignaude, as well as Nucleus newcomers Benjamin Lacombe, Rebecca Dautremer, Gerald Guerlais, Lilidol, Emmanuelle Pioli and more.
