Eight large scale paintings assigned to Shawn Barber by prominent Toronto ad agency TBWA Toronto now represent the agency as corporate branding imagery. The paintings of traditional native animals reminiscent of vintage Canadiana art from the sixties and seventies are getting a lot of local attention featured in larger than life window displays at the downtown Toronto headquarters.

The work also appears on the agency home page and in an article (in French and English) about the window displays themselves.

After a successful advent calendar themed holiday catalog cover, Stephan Britt was asked to illustrate thirteen illustrations for a calendar to be sent to best customers of the web retailer eBay.com. The calendar follows the ‘it’ campaign through the months with clever visual solutions to different seasons and events. A sampling of the calendar illustrations are below.

Bella Pilar is featured in the February issue of trendy Domino Magazine - The Guide to Living in Style. The article, a recurring series on buying art, guides readers in buying fashion illustration to hang in their homes and showcases the work of eight highly regarded international illustrators including Mats Gustafson and Izak Zenou.

The Domino website also displays additional work by the artists including Bella’s.

s. britt was selected by The Wurst Gallery to contribute an illustration of a pointer as part of the launch their biggest show to date, The Wurstminster Dog Show. Over 100 artists from all over the world are each illustrating, painting or creating a different dog breed for the show. A portion of the proceeds of sales from this event will benefit the Dove Lewis Animal Hospital in Portland, OR.

The Portland Mercury chose s. britt’s art to print on the cover of the latest issue publicizing the event. Great cover!
