Red Nose Studio created a sculpture titled Flicker for the upcoming MicroVisions sci-fi scholarship auction at the Society of Illustrators. The auction, which takes place in June, serves to raise money for the Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship fund. Ten 5 x 7″ mini works by Red Nose Studio, Eric Fortune and John Harris among others will be up for auction next month. Additional details should be posted at the following sites.

s. britt’s illustrations can be seen in the new spring broadcast campaign for the nationwide Canadian department store chain Zellers. The ‘S Is For Spring’ commercials are geared to spring offerings for children and combine his illustrations as well as others with live action. The ’sweeps’ cat and ’seeks’ scenery can be seen in the video clip link below, another ’smooches’ illustration appears on a second commercial.
Emiliano Ponzi has ventured down a stylish new path. Although the work can still be easily identified as his, it has taken on a very sophisticated and fresh new look. Already awarded by American Illustration and soon to be exposed in 3×3 Magazine, this new approach is more conceptual and combines changes in rendering techniques and composition to simplify his illustrations, adding in content what has been taken away in line. We are proud to spread the word on Shawn Barber’s solo show- Tattooed Portraits 2 opening tomorrow night at The Shooting Gallery in San Francisco. The show, which runs through June 2, 2007, is a follow-up to the highly successful ‘Tattooed Portraits’ show last year.
Many of the artists that were painted for this show will be at the opening, including: Chuck Eldridge, Kat Von D, Chantal Menard, Michael Hussar, Julie Becker, Alison Casson, Kevin Llewellyn, Norm, Amandalynn, Craig Driscoll and maybe Mr. Todd Noble…. Four limited editions vintage style T-shirts featuring Bella Pilar’s illustrations are now available in-store and online.
Target left her artist signature intact on the artwork, added a custom ‘Bella Pilar’ logo to the outside of each T, and featured an extensive ‘tagless’ artist bio on the inside collar of the T’s.
