Nate Williams Blankets Paris!

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

Nate Williams’ dreamy poster announcing the Festival de l’Oh! can be seen throughout Paris and its outlying areas. The poster is for the annual river festival held in the small town of Val de Marne, France which is situated on a historically important riverway. The poster and a number of other illustrations were commissioned through an international artist selection process that reviewed artists work from a number of countries before a final decision was made to assign the project to Nate. Additional illustrations can be seen on the web link above.

Bigfoot Seen in ‘Arts & Life’

Monday, June 25th, 2007

An ‘in-character’ portrait of Bigfoot illustrated by Graham Roumieu in the style of Me Write Book – It Bigfoot Memoir (Plume) was on the cover of the Arts & Life section of the National Post this Monday, June 25, 2007. The illustration accompanied an article titled ‘The Fur in Furtive’ that covers a filmmaker in Alberta who says he has found a colony of Bigfeet in the Rockies.

We’re always glad to see art directors go for ‘the real thing’ when it comes to representing our furry friend.

We are excited to announce that Magnet Reps now represents the talented Catalina Estrada.

Born and raised in Colombia, Catalina Estrada has been living and working in Barcelona since 1999. Her exuberant dream-like work combines the color and flavor of traditional Latin American folk art with contemporary Asian influences. Thursday, June 7th, 2007

Ever wanted to watch Graham Roumieu at work? Well now you can, Graham illustrated the new “Old Style Pilsner” website for Molson Canada. The ‘hands on’ multimedia website features his sketches on the home page and includes spots and ‘live action’ drawn elements throughout the site. Canadians will chuckle at his take on the iconic pilsner label and yes folks, those are his hands.
