Each piece was selected by a nationally representative jury of distinguished designers, art directors and illustrators. The winning entries will be distributed worldwide in the Communication Arts Illustration Annual and on commarts.com, assuring important exposure to the creators of this outstanding work. Bella Pilar’s event at the Papyrus store in Grand Central Terminal in New York City was a huge success! Exclusive limited edition prints were available at the event and Bella was even on hand to sign everyone’s favorite Bella Pilar product. The store was decorated with Bella Pilar posters and as an added bonus, those who spent $50 or more on Bella Pilar products were entered in a draw to win an original signed painting by Bella. Thanks to everyone that came out and the wonderful people at Papyrus for making the event such a great success!
Emiliano Ponzi illustrated for the debut line of novels by Z!NES, a new book publisher in Rome. The line debuted at the Turin International Book Fair in Turin, Italy. The fair, which ran from May 14th to 18th, is the main point of reference for book professionals in Italy, including publishers, booksellers, librarians, agents, illustrators and translators.
Nate Williams will be giving a lecture to 700 people as part of the Pixelation Visual Tour 2009 in Cordoba, Argentina. The event aims to promote the contribution of design, raise the professional status of designers and introduce new design developments over three-days of lectures, workshops and an exhibition. It runs from Friday, May 17th to Sunday, May 19th, 2009.
