Estrada for Bossa Nova

Catalina Estrada illustrated for Bossa Nova’s superfruit juice. Superfruits are berries and fruits singled out for their remarkably high concentration of nutrients and antioxidants, usually with very low naturally occurring sugars. Bossa Nova’s superfruits are acai, acerola, mangosteen and goji berry, available in a variety of flavor combinations.

Pilar for the Junior League of New York

Bella Pilar contributed an elegant illustration for the Junior League of the City of New York’s 15th Annual Fall House Tour invitation. This self-guided tour offers a glimpse into some of Manhattan’s most stylish homes, it includes breakfast, a luncheon and a cocktail reception. Since 1901 the Junior League has trained volunteers to provide support to families, seniors and children. Proceeds from this event will go to local New York charities.

Red Nose Studio for ADC Houston

Red Nose Studio was invited to judge the 54th Annual Art Directors Club of Houston Award Show. The show doesn’t take place until next month but he was in Houston this past weekend for a special event that gave ADC members a chance to meet the judges. Each judge gave a presentation, introducing themselves and their work, and the audience was given an opportunity to ask questions at the end.

Roumieu’s an Early Bloomer

Graham Roumieu illustrated for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada’s Early Bloomers website. The website uses humor and Graham’s amusing illustrations to encourage people to be an ‘early bloomer’ by mentoring a child though the Big Brothers Big Sisters In-School Mentoring program.

Williams Wins AIGA Cause/Affect Award

Nate Williams’ illustration for the Reading Rocket bookmobile came in second place in the Education category at the AIGA Cause/Affect awards. The AIGA Cause/Affect awards honor campaigns and projects that have had a positive impact on society making the Reading Rocket a perfect candidate. The bookmobile is operated by the Denver Public Library, bringing books and a renewed excitement about reading to under-served schools. Congratulations go out to Nate and everyone at Tomorrow Partners!

Estrada Featured in Italy’s D Casa

Catalina Estrada was interviewed for interior design magazine, D Casa, which runs as an insert in the Italian newspaper La Repubblica. The article features her illustration work and fine art pieces from recent gallery shows.

Williams for Göoo’s 2010 Calendar

Nate Williams was one of 15 international artists asked to contribute to Göoo’s 2010 calendar, printed on 12 illustrated postcards. Göoo offers a diverse showcase of designers, illustrators and artists, publishing 4 editions a year: 2 issues of Revista Göoo with a production of 5000 copies each; a book and an illustrated calendar, both of which are limited editions.

Other artists include: Alberto Cerriteño, Chris Leavens, Nick Deaken, Nicholas Di Genova, Mario Nieva, Simona Cordero, Taz, Pulpo, Monk, plaplo, himnôfeda!, ilsantito, Tooco and Pablo Bisoglio.

Bagayan’s Critters at Roq La Rue

Estrada’s Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Catalina Estrada illustrated for The 5th Avenue Theatre’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. American Idol finalist Anthony Fedorov stars as Joseph in this hilarious tale of three brothers, jealousy and one very loud garment. This worldwide phenomenon has been an audience favorite for more than thirty-five year, spanning musical styles from calypso to rock to disco to country. It opens on Saturday, October 10th and runs until Sunday, November 1st, 2009.
