Red Nose + Blasted Church Win Awards

Monday, June 14th, 2010

Red Nose Studio’s labels for Blasted Church won Gold and Silver medals at the 2010 Los Angeles International Wine Competition for Wine Packaging.

The labels tell the story of the old wooden church that inspired the wineries name. In 1929, a small crew headed to a deserted mining town in British Columbia, Canada with the goal of dismantling an old wooden church and bringing it back to their home in Okanagan Falls. The plan called for a controlled blast of four dynamite sticks inside the church in order to “loosen the nails”. Save for losing the steeple, the plan succeeded. Now, the 108 year old wooden church stands proudly in it’s second home of Okanagan Falls, where Blasted Church wines are made.

The labels won a Gold medal in the Art Illustration category and a Silver medal in the Series category. Congratulations go out to Chris, Bernie, Laurie and everyone at Brandever and Blasted Church!
