Williams Speaks at OFFSET, Dublin

Nate Williams was invited to speak at OFFSET 2010 in Dublin, Ireland. OFFSET is Ireland’s premiere creative festival, bringing together the top international talent in graphic design, illustration, street and fine art, film, fashion, photography and moving image.

Held at the amazing Daniel Libeskind designed Grand Canal Theatre in the heart of Dublin’s Docklands, OFFSET 2010 was a fantastic three days of presentations, lectures, debate and inspiration from some of the leading creatives from Ireland and around the world. Other speakers included David Carson, Steven Heller, Scott Dadich, Tomer Hanuka, Wooster Collective, Gary Baseman, Martin Haake and many others.

Estrada for Zara Home

Catalina Estrada’s illustrations can now be seen on a line of beachwear for Zara Home. The collection, available across Europe, features girly floral and paisley patterns and bold jungle prints on a range of items, including bathing suits, towels and sandals, for every member of the family.

Pilar for Mudpuppy

Bella Pilar illustrated a set of high school themed magnetic dress-up dolls for Mudpuppy. The kit includes two double-sided backgrounds and three sheets of clothes and accessories that allow you to take your doll from the classroom to the playing field to the high-school dance. The kit is intended for children ages 6 and up and is printed with non-toxic inks.

Red Nose for Charity Auction

Red Nose Studio donated art to an auction benefiting the Art Association of Randolph County. The AARC seeks to enrich the community with events like jazz and bluegrass concerts, drama, dance, art classes, art shows, poetry readings and photography displays. Their programs serve over 5000 people per year and include everyone from pre-schoolers to senior citizens. In fact, it was here that Red Nose had some of his very first experiences with the arts.

Williams’ Wallet for Confitte

Nate Williams’ Japan Space Love can now be seen on wallets for Argentine label Confitte. The wallets are made from Tyvek paper making them waterproof and highly durable.

Roumieu Wins 4 Awards

Graham Roumieu’s illustrations were honored at the 33rd National Magazine Awards in Toronto. From nearly 2000 individual entries from across Canada the judges nominated a total of 390 submissions for awards in 46 written, visual, integrated and online categories. Graham’s illustration for This Magazine won a Silver Medal in the Spot Illustration category and three others received Honorable Mentions. Congratulations go out to all!

Ponzi for HOW Intl Design Awards

Emiliano Ponzi had two illustrations chosen to appear in HOW Magazine’s International Design Annual. Out of thousands of submissions, only 297 print and interactive designs were chosen to appear in the magazine. Emiliano’s illustrations won in the Illustration/Photography category. Congratulations go out to Emiliano, Nicholas and Vikki!

Italian beauty retailer La Gardenia is celebrating the release of Sex and the City 2 with an animated spot by Bella Pilar that follows Fleur, their illustrated spokeswoman, as she embarks on her own fashionable Dubai getaway.
