Behind the Scenes: Red Nose Studio for Angie’s List

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

Here’s Chris of Red Nose Studio setting up a photograph for Angie’s List magazine.  Braving the elements and fending off puzzled looks from concerned citizens and police officers alike, Chris set the scene with his lights, camera, and meticulously crafted wooden puppet.

Chris steadies the camera for a shot, unfazed by the rumble of an oncoming eighteen-wheeler.

Here is the final product, as seen on the April 2011 issue of Angie’s List Magazine:

Behind the Scenes: Red Nose Studio’s “Dead Words”

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

Red Nose Studio finished a project for Educational Insights, an international manufacturer of toys and educational materials.  Here are some behind the scenes images of the work in progress.

Chris constructed the iron gate from two-ply chipboard.  It took five hours and twenty five exacto blades!

The two primary headstones were sculpted with sculpey and lettered with a trusty exacto blade.

Here is a close-up of the completed headstone.

Chris designs the lighting for each set.  This shot is ready to be taken!

Here is the final image, complete with hand-crafted puppets, scenery, and props.  Kudos to Chris for all his hard work!
