Garbage Barge Makes The New York Times' Top Ten

Here Comes the Garbage Barge! (Schwartz + Wade), written by Jonah Winter and illustrated by Red Nose Studio, was named one of the year's top ten illustrated children's books by The New York Times Book Review. Annually since 1952, The New York Times has asked a panel of judges to select ten winners from the several thousand children's books published throughout the year.

This year's panel includes Robert Sabuda, a co-creator of the best-selling Encyclopedia Prehistorica series and twice the recipient of a Times Best Illustrated award; Elizabeth Bird, a children’s librarian with the New York Public Library, whose first picture book, Giant Dance Party, is due out next year; and David Barringer, a novelist and designer who is the author of There’s Nothing Funny About Design.

Congratulations go out to Chris, Jonah and everyone at Schwartz + Wade!
