Pieter Van Eenoge's illustrations have recently been selected as award-winning by a number of illustration competition juries. In 2012, he was awarded the prestigious Boekenpluim prize, something equivalent to a 'red ribbon Caldecott', for excellence in a Flemish children's book.
His poster for the Boekenbeurs 2011 Book Fair received an Award of Excellence from Communication Arts and appeared in their 2012 annual.
Pieter's Boekenpluim prize was for De dokter en het leger van Davy (or The Doctor and Davy’s Army), written by Edward van de Vendel and published by de Eenhoorn. Each year the coveted prize is awarded to two books that feature exceptional illustrations.
His piece for the Cultural Centre De Spil's newsletter received a merit award in the 'Editorial' category in the 3x3 Pro Show No.9.
Pieter had a personal series of illustrations and an editorial illustration chosen as winners by the 3x3 Pro Show No.8. His personal series, Phantom of Wing, which included the image below, received a gold medal in the 'Gallery' category, while his piece, Autumn Leaves, received a merit award in the 'Editorial' category.
